THE TRENDING TABLE INC. is a leading events & media organization that organizes marketplaces for small businesses in Canada. We’re looking for remote, highly skilled event coordinators to help elevate our market experience for all guests and vendors nation wide.
The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, plan, organize, and execute events flawlessly. Above all, the event coordinator must be comfortable in a leadership role that demands a creative, business-driven mindset and lasting relationships within the small business community.
Event directors will be on a commission based pay scale. The initial licensing fee is $1200. Yearly renewal fee is $900. The licensing fee covers: online training sessions, copyright & access to brand assets including logo, trusted website, application & payment system, email marketing assistance, and an introduction to our current community.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a complete understanding of the requirements for every event
Connect with vendors and make selections based on their creativity, diversity, quality, and categories of business
Book venues, draft and finalize contracts, and lock down day-of logistics
Develop content for event materials & produce social strategies and roll out
Hire personnel as needed across all functions of an event (ex: volunteers, event staff, setup, audio/visual etc.)
Handle day-to-day administration of events and programs, including order placements, vendor monitoring, travel planning, email and vendor correspondence, marketing, attendee participation, registration counts, and issues resolution
Oversee the planning and execution of each organized events
Report directly to the directors for all market related planning and execution
Comply with all national and local regulations
Keep budgets and timelines under control at all times
Uphold company’s mission and vision with every event
Must be able to work independently & remotely
Experience in event planning or event coordination in a corporate environment
Proven track record of creative, successful events
Experience working with colleagues in graphic design, sales, marketing, and communications
Excellent organizational, communication, negotiating, and multitasking skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service mindset
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in hospitality/events management or public relations (preferred)
Established relationships with vendors and sponsorship opportunities
Experience in managing budgets and tracking expenses
Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Adobe, Excel and Photoshop
Proficiency with English foremost/Bi-lingual (not required)
